Responsibilities:
- Responsible to implement and manage comprehensive process safety management (PSM) programs at site.
- Conduct process safety audits and inspections to Verify compliance to process safety standards and follow up on corrective actions.
- Responsible to facilitate hazard identification exercises such as What-If, HAZID, HAZAN,HAZOP, FMEA, LOPA/SIL.
- Responsible to track and press for onsite completion of high-risk actions from various risk assessment activities for each site.
- Responsible to investigate process safety related near miss, incidents, accidents and recommend actions to minimize recurrence.
- Follow up the status of the actions and recommendations and sharing of lessons learned.
- To collaborate with Sector / Group PS network to share learning and best practice.
- To contribute relevant (Process Critical) MOCs activities and ensure quality risk assessments /PSSRs are performed.
- To develop and facilitate Process Safety training programmers to improve competency of the site people.
- Ability to perform or review relief valve calculations / PSV sizing / Rupture Disk sizing.
- Prepare Hazardous Area Classification Drawing; Perform Radiation / Dispersion Analysis; Prepare Bow-Tie diagram.
- Responsible to participate in studies of current projects and plant modifications.
- Review specifications of equipment and materials on site to ensure process safety requirements are included.
- Responsible to gain the working knowledge of codes and standards related to process safety such as NFPA, API, IEC and IS standards, PESO, SMPV, OISD, PNGRB regulations.
- Develop ability to guide project and process engineering teams on application of these standards and regulations.
- Develop ability and knowledge base in process safety with the help of CCPS, UK HSE and IChemE guidance.
