Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and execute the installation of elevator electrical systems, including wiring, control panel connections, and testing of electrical components.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on elevator electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults promptly to minimize equipment downtime.
- Collaborate with service teams to address escalated issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct safety inspections, document findings, and train team members on safe practices and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records, including maintenance logs, repair history, and installation reports.
- Prepare technical reports and communicate updates to management.
- Evaluate and recommend upgrades or modifications to electrical systems as necessary.
- Provide on-site and remote support for resolving electrical issues and assist in training technicians.
Key Qualifications and Skills
Educational Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- 3+ years in electrical maintenance, specifically in the elevator or vertical transportation industry
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, and elevator control systems
- Familiarity with safety standards like EN 81, IEC, or equivalent
