Slitting machine operators work in factories to use equipment to cut materials into slats of a set width and length. They work with a variety of materials, such as cardboard, metal, or plastic, and each project has its own production guidelines and specifications. Their responsibilities include:
Surface Equipment Operators should be able to follow instructions, work with others, and help ensure that all safety regulations are followed, in a variety of job tasks that may be assigned to them. Surface Equipment Operators are only permitted to operate the machines for which they have been trained and authorised.
Surface Operator means any employee appointed as such who is engaged on work in or in connection with or incidental to the operations and maintenance of the mine, mining equipment, treatment plant and associated facilities covered by the award and who may be required to perform any such work within their classification
