n Safety and Security
n n Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
n Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
n Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, etc., including using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
n Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
n Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
n Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
n Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
n Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
n Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.

n n Guest Relations
n n Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
n Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.
n Anticipate guests' service needs,
including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
n Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell.
n Assist other employees to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.
n Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests using brand or property specific process (e.g., LEARN, PLEASED, Guest Response, LEAP) to resolve issues, delight, and build trust.

n n Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and qualified language.

n Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
n Move at a speed that is required to respond to work situations (e.g., run, walk, jog).
n Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects)
n Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
n Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps.
n Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
n Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
n n Housekeeping Protocol
n n Contact Engineering, At Your Service (AYS), Delighted to Serve (DTS), or Housekeeping office directly for urgent repairs.
n Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
n Select appropriate cleaning chemicals and necessary personal protective equipment for various surfaces and cleaning jobs, following OSHA regulations and corporate standards.
n Respond promptly to requests from guests, Front Desk, or At Your Service requests.
n Transport cart to assigned area and position securely, following procedures for cart positioning.
n Return cart to designated area at the end of shift.
n Fill cart with supplies (e.g., chemicals, rags, linens, amenities) as needed.
n Report room status (e.g., Do Not Disturb notice on room, discrepant rooms) to Main Linen Room, Housekeeping manager/supervisor, or Front Desk.
n n Guest Rooms, Villas, and Suites
n n Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access, such as knocking three times, saying "Housekeeping," and ensuring vacancy before entering.
n Report missing hotel/resort property and damages to room to manager/supervisor.
n Limit access to guest rooms while cleaning by following departmental procedures.
n Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms, such as toiletries, glasses, mugs, linens, towels, tissues, coffee, printed materials, and laundry bags according to standards.
n Replace dirty linens (e.g., sheets, pillow cases) and terry (e.g., towels, bathrobes) with clean items, following correct bed making and folding standards.
n Clean bathrooms, including bathtub/hot tub/shower, toilet, floor, sink, and mirror.
n Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items from room and balcony/patio.
n Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order (e.g., hair dryer, television and remote, DVD player, microwave).
n Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances and restore to original positions.
n Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings (e.g., appliances, furniture, ice bucket, honor bar, baseboards, ledges, entrance door).
n Vacuum carpets and performs floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallway).
