Role Description The SMT Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Noida, responsible for overseeing Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes in electronics manufacturing. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and operating SMT machines, monitoring production lines, and optimizing parameters for quality and throughput.
The role involves troubleshooting equipment issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and ESD standards. The SMT Engineer collaborates with production, quality, and design teams to improve yields, implement process changes, and support new product introductions in the wearables and hearables product lines.




The position also requires maintaining accurate documentation, reporting production data, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of SMT processes, PCB assembly, reflow profiling, and soldering quality standards.
Experience in operating, programming, and maintaining SMT machines (e.g., pick-and-place, stencil printers, AOI).
Understanding of electronics manufacturing, component handling, ESD practices, and IPC standards.
Proficiency in basic troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (such as 5S, Kaizen).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and process documentation.
Valuable analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and quality.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional production and engineering teams.
Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related engineering discipline; prior SMT or EMS industry experience is highly desirable.
Willingness to work in shifts if required and to be present in office in Noida on a regular basis.
