Role Description This is a full time, on-site Chinese Chef role based at Hotel Centre Point in Nagpur. The Chinese Chef will plan and prepare authentic and contemporary Chinese cuisine for the fine dining restaurant, buffet area, room service, and events, ensuring consistent taste, presentation, and quality. Daily responsibilities include menu planning, mise en place, cooking à la carte and banquet dishes, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating with the kitchen team and service staff. The role involves maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, overseeing proper use and cleaning of equipment, and helping train junior team members in Chinese cooking techniques.



The Chinese Chef will also support cost control, portioning, and occasional menu innovation to enhance the overall guest dining experience.

Qualifications
Strong expertise in Chinese culinary techniques, regional Chinese cuisines, and menu planning for à la carte and banquets.
Hands-on experience in high-volume hotel or restaurant kitchens, preferably in a 4 or 5-star environment.
Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen sanitation standards.
Ability to manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, portioning, and minimizing food waste.
Skill in coordinating with kitchen and service teams, with clear and collaborative communication.
Capacity to work in a quick-paced environment, with attention to detail and consistency in taste and presentation.
Experience in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff in Chinese cuisine is an advantage.
Qualified culinary qualification or relevant certification in hospitality or culinary arts is preferred.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
