Role Description This is a full time, in office Assistant Professor role located at Usha Martin University in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

The Assistant

Professor will be responsible for delivering lectures, preparing course materials, mentoring students, and conducting research within their area of expertise.



Additional responsibilities include participating in academic and administrative activities, contributing to curriculum development, and maintaining active involvement in seminars, workshops, and faculty development programs. Encouraging innovation and critical thinking in students will also be a key aspect of the role.

Qualifications Solid expertise and teaching experience in one of the disciplines offered at UMU, such as Arts & Humanities, Sciences, Business Management, Engineering, IT, Journalism, Agriculture, or Law

Proven skills in research, curriculum development, and innovative teaching methodologies

Effective communication, leadership, and mentorship skills to guide and support students

Ability to contribute to institutional development through active participation in academic and administrative tasks

Eligibility as per UGC norms, including a Master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks, and a Ph.D. or NET qualification

Demonstrated commitment to research publication and engagement with academic forums
