Role Description The Accountant role at Raj Engineering Co. is a full time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, preparing financial reports for management, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors, and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.





Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency in core accounting functions such as bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger management, and bank reconciliation.
Experience in financial reporting, including preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, as well as supporting month-end and year-end close.
Knowledge of tax regulations, statutory compliance, and internal controls, with the ability to ensure accurate and timely filings.
Comfort working with accounting software and ERP systems, robust MS Excel skills, and attention to detail in data entry and analysis.
Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to interpret financial data and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA) are an advantage.
Relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is beneficial, along with familiarity with cost accounting and inventory management.
