We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AIX DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, and security of IBM DB2 LUW (Linux, Unix, and Windows) databases operating on IBM AIX systems. This role requires ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and reliability to support enterprise-grade, mission-critical applications.
Operating Systems: Extensive experience with AIX (UNIX) operating systems and related utilities.
Database Software: In-depth knowledge of DB2 LUW (versions 10.1 and above).
Tools: Proficient in the use of DB2 utilities (export, import, load) and performance tools (db2pd, db2top, db2advis).
Scripting: Advanced Unix Shell scripting skills for process automation.
Storage: Solid understanding of SAN/storage, networking, and virtualization technologies (LPARs, VIO servers) within AIX settings.
Languages: Robust proficiency in SQL.
