Role Description The Accounts Assistant role is a full time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Accounts

Assistant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including handling petty cash, processing invoices, tracking payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role involves assisting with credit control activities, preparing basic financial reports, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders for account-related queries.

Assistant will also help ensure compliance with company policies and contribute to timely month-end and year-end closing activities.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess accounting and finance skills, including basic bookkeeping, invoice processing, and familiarity with financial records management.

Candidates should possess experience in credit control and petty cash handling, ensuring accurate tracking of receivables and cash transactions.

Candidates should possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, vendors, and clients regarding account-related matters.

Candidates should possess proficiency in common accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.

Relevant diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Attention to detail, solid numerical ability, and the capacity to work independently and meet deadlines are beneficial.

Prior experience in an accounts or finance support role within construction, engineering, or related industries will be an advantage.
