A. Key Roles & Responsibilities
Bookkeeping and Vouchers: Maintain accurate books of accounts and prepare and process payment vouchers, bills and related documentation.
Reconciliation: Support reconciliation of bank accounts, advances, and inter-departmental transactions.
Documentation and Filing: Maintain organised financial records and ensure proper documentation for each transaction.
Audit Support: Assist during internal and external audits, and support timely responses to audit queries.
Reporting Support: Assist in preparation of periodic financial statements and reports for review by the finance function.
B. Desired Competencies
Demonstrated understanding of accounting, bookkeeping, and fund-flow processes
Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, ERP or equivalent
Valuable IT/computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint)
High attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and commitment to accuracy in financial operations
Positive communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under supervision and meet timelines.
C. Qualification Criteria: Masters degree in Commerce with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognised University or Qualified Institution recognised by Government. D. Experience: Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience assisting with accounts-related work in State Government Departments, Boards, Corporations or similar Government organisations.
