Area Sales Manager

Job Purpose

Drive business growth, portfolio quality, and market expansion across assigned branches by leading sales teams, strengthening customer and builder relationships, and ensuring operational and regulatory compliance. The role is responsible for achieving business targets, improving market penetration, and building high-performing teams while maintaining customer-centricity and portfolio health.

Key Responsibilities
Achieve sales and business targets across assigned branches.
Identify new markets and drive market expansion initiatives.
Develop robust relationships with customers, builders, and channel partners to generate business.
Ensure timely customer service, query resolution, and adherence to company policies.
Lead, mentor, and motivate branch sales teams to maximize performance.
Recruit, train, and retain talent while conducting regular performance reviews.
Monitor portfolio quality and delinquency levels, coordinating with Credit, Risk, and Operations teams for smooth loan processing and disbursement.
Implement sales processes, compliance standards, and documentation requirements across branches.
Support teams in sales presentations, customer acquisition,



and conversion activities.
Track competitor activities, market trends, and customer requirements, and provide actionable insights to management.
Prepare and share periodic business performance reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills
5 to 8 years of experience in Home Loan/Mortgage Sales within BFSI/NBFC; exposure to Loan Against Property (LAP) preferred.
Proven experience in managing multiple branches and sales teams.
Solid knowledge of local markets, builder networks, and channel partner ecosystems.
Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Robust analytical and business management capabilities with focus on profitability and portfolio quality.
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MIS tools.
