Bar Manager Roles & Responsibilities

Marc Inn, Vaishali Nagar The Bar Manager is responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring excellent customer service, proper stock control, and productive team management.
Billing & Payments
Ensure all customer bills are accurate.
Handle cash, card, and digital payments correctly.
Maintain proper billing records and close daily sales.
Stock Management & Inventory
Maintain accurate stock records of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and other bar items.
Track daily stock movement.
Report shortages, breakages, and wastage.
Conduct regular physical stock checks.
Staff Training
Train bar staff on service standards and customer handling.
Ensure proper pouring, serving, and hygiene practices.
Guide staff to deliver fast and skilled service.
Daily Reports
Prepare daily sales and stock reports.
Report cash collection, inventory status, and any operational issues.
Share reports with the management on time.
Bar Upkeep & Maintenance
Ensure the bar is clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
Check that all equipment is working properly.
Report any maintenance or repair requirements immediately.
Restocking Bar Supplies
Monitor stock levels throughout the day.
Ensure timely replenishment of liquor,



beverages, glassware, ice, garnishes, and other supplies.
Coordinate with the purchase/store department for timely procurement.
Cash Handling
Safely handle all cash transactions.
Ensure correct cash tally at the end of each shift.
Follow company procedures for cash deposits and records.
Team Management
Supervise bar staff and assign daily duties.
Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate manpower.
Motivate the team and maintain discipline and professionalism.
Customer Experience
Create a friendly, welcoming, and comfortable atmosphere for guests.
Greet customers politely and ensure prompt service.
Resolve customer complaints professionally and ensure guest satisfaction.
Compliance & Hygiene
Ensure all bar operations follow hotel policies and legal regulations.
Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards at all times.
Prevent misuse or theft of bar stock and company property.
