Role Description The Audit & Tax Assistant will support day-to-day audit, accounting, and tax compliance activities for client organizations.

Responsibilities include assisting in statutory and internal audits, preparing and reviewing accounting entries and reconciliations, supporting GST, TDS, and income tax return filings, and maintaining organized documentation for tax and compliance purposes. The role also involves coordinating with senior team members to gather client information, preparing working papers and schedules, and responding to basic client queries related to audit and tax matters. This is a full-time, in office role based in Mangaluru, requiring regular collaboration with the accounting and tax team and adherence to deadlines and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Robust foundation in accounting principles, auditing concepts, and basic taxation (GST, TDS, income tax) with the ability to apply them in practical scenarios.

Proficiency in MS Excel and other office tools,



and familiarity with accounting software or ERPs used for bookkeeping and compliance.

Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to maintain organized records and documentation for audits and tax filings.

Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and professionally interact with clients.

Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet timelines in a quick-paced, client-focused environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; pursuing or having completed skilled qualifications (CA Inter, CMA, or similar) is an added advantage.
