Required Skills & Experience
Automation & Infrastructure
Robust automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise (e.g., Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, Python, Helm, added advantage PowerShell,).
Solid experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, KVM, or OpenStack.
Experience with CI/CD and Git-based workflows (branching strategies, code reviews, release and versioning practices).
Experience with secrets management and secure access control using HashiCorp Vault.
Solid Linux and Windows fundamentals along with sound infrastructure networking knowledge.
Experience operating production infrastructure environments, including incident response and root cause analysis.

Kubernetes Expertise




Robust hands-on experience operating Rancher-managed Kubernetes clusters in on-premises environments.
Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and core components.
Experience with Kubernetes networking (CNI, Ingress, Load Balancers, DNS, and foundational Service Mesh concepts).
Experience with storage integrations (CSI, Persistent Volumes, NFS, SAN, enterprise storage platforms).
Proven experience in cluster lifecycle management (installation, upgrades, scaling, backup and restore).
Experience supporting production-grade Day-2 operations.
