Job Title: Engineer - Business Development

Location: Pune

Department: Business Development (Defence and Aerospace)

Reports To: Chief Manager Business Development

Job Summary The role combines technical engineering expertise along with business development skills to drive revenue growth and expand market presence.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop current business opportunities in target industries and markets.
Daily search for potential tender enquiries/Expression of Interest/ToTs on GeM Portal, Def proc, ISRO eproc, etenders and also on portals of Defence Public Sector units such as HAL, BDL, MDL, etc. and maintain records and submission to senior management.
Download potential tender enquiries/Expression of Interest/ToT, study drawings and specifications, understand requirements.
Coordinate with Engineering, Process Plan, Production, Quality Control, Tooling, Finance etc. to ensure timely availability of inputs for cost estimation.
Identify potential suppliers / sub vendors if case need arises.
Prepare cost estimation sheets.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals,



quotations and compliances mentioned in tender enquiries/Expressions of Interests/ ToT, etc.
On time submission of bid / ToT to customer hard copy / online bid submission using digital signature certificate.
Maintain tender register

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B. Tech).
46 years of experience in business development, marketing of engineering products/services in Defence and Aerospace industry
Understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and industrial applications.
Valuable communication and presentation.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities.

Project management and proposal preparation experience.
Understanding of tendering processes and contract management.
