Position: CPU (Condensate Polishing Unit) & WTP (Water Treatment Plant) In-Charge

Experience: 812 years in Water Treatment/CPU/Utility Operations (preferably in Ethanol, ENA, Sugar, or Process Industry)

Qualification: B.Sc, Diploma / B.Tech in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering

Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the operation & maintenance of Condensate Polishing Unit (CPU) and Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to ensure uninterrupted supply of process-quality water.
Monitor, control, and optimize water quality parameters as per plant requirements (Boiler, Cooling Tower, Process & CPU).
Manage raw water treatment, DM water, RO plant, softening units, and CPU regeneration processes.
Ensure compliance with environmental norms for effluent treatment, wastewater recycling, and zero liquid discharge (ZLD) where applicable.
Conduct daily water analysis in coordination with the laboratory to ensure consistent quality.




Plan preventive and predictive maintenance of CPU & WTP equipment to minimize downtime.
Prepare and maintain logs, MIS reports, and operational records of CPU & WTP.
Lead, train, and supervise the utility operations team for effective plant functioning.
Coordinate with production, utilities, and EHS departments for smooth operations.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory compliance, and ISO/quality norms.

Key Skills & Knowledge
Solid knowledge of CPU, RO, DM, Softener, and water chemistry.
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and optimizing WTP & CPU operations.
Understanding of boiler feed water quality, cooling tower treatment, and condensate recovery.
Knowledge of environmental compliance, effluent handling, and recycling processes.
Robust leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prepare reports, analyze trends, and drive cost optimization.

Preferred Profile
8–12 years of relevant experience in CPU/WTP in ethanol, ENA, sugar, distillery, or process industry.
Proven experience in team management, compliance handling, and utility operations.
Solid record of ensuring water quality, plant efficiency, and statutory compliance.
