About the Team

Logistics within ONDC plays a critical role in enabling an open, scalable, and democratic digital commerce ecosystem. It serves two primary functions:
Independent Logistics Service: Any brand or business can tap into the ONDC logistics network to procure delivery services seamlessly.
Ecosystem Enabler: Logistics powers ONDC’s mission of democratising digital commerce by helping sellers and seller apps access a wide logistics ecosystem for improved reach, operational efficiency, and growth.

We are now scaling our hyperlocal logistics capabilities and looking for a Category Manager to lead this charter end-to-end. This is a high-ownership leadership role that shapes and scales the hyperlocal logistics mandate across strategy, growth, sales, and network participant (NP) relationships.

Beyond driving the business, the Category Manager serves as a thought partner to ecosystem participants - helping them run operations effectively and unlock the full potential of the ONDC network.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy: Own the vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy for hyperlocal logistics on the network, and translate it into explicit, measurable priorities.
Growth: Drive initiatives that scale logistics transactions (orders per day)



by working closely with internal teams and ecosystem partners to grow both demand and supply.
Sales & Business Development: Identify, engage, and onboard merchants, brands, and businesses that can benefit from ONDC logistics services, and lead go-to-market efforts for hyperlocal offerings.
Network Participant (NP) Relationships: Build and deepen relationships with logistics network participants, acting as their primary point of contact and advocate within ONDC.
Thought Partnership & Operational Enablement: Serve as a trusted advisor to ecosystem participants, helping them run operations effectively, resolve bottlenecks, and improve service quality and performance.
Program & Project Management: Execute logistics initiatives and programs, track key metrics, drive reporting, and identify opportunities to improve logistics flows on the network.

Ideal Candidate
8+ years of experience, ideally spanning strategy, operations, category, or business roles in high-growth settings.
Robust execution orientation and analytical mindset.
Skilled at managing relationships and multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse stakeholders.
