Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat conditions such as acid reflux, ulcers, IBS, IBD (Crohns and ulcerative colitis), hepatitis, colon polyps, and GI cancers.
Perform diagnostic procedures like endoscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and ERCP.
Develop treatment plans based on patient evaluations, lab tests, and imaging.
Interpret diagnostic tests such as CT scans, MRI, blood tests, and biopsy results.
Educate patients about preventive care and dietary changes to improve GI health.
Collaborate with other medical specialists such as surgeons, radiologists, and oncologists.
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records.
Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology and attend medical conferences.
