Role Description The Commi Continental role at CALCUTTA 64 is a full-time, on-site position based in Kharagpur.

The Commi

Continental team member supports the kitchen in preparing and cooking continental dishes under the guidance of senior chefs, following standard recipes and portion sizes. Daily responsibilities include assisting in mise en place, basic cooking, plating dishes, and maintaining high standards of food quality and consistency. The role also involves adhering to hygiene and safety protocols, keeping workstations clean and organized, and properly storing ingredients.





The Commi

Continental works closely with the kitchen and service teams, supports smooth operations during service hours, and contributes to a positive, respectful work environment.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess solid Food Preparation and Cooking skills, with a focus on continental cuisine.

Candidates should possess solid Culinary Skills, including basic knife skills, understanding of cooking methods, and plating techniques.

Candidates should possess good Hygiene practices, including knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and cleanliness in the kitchen.

Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with chefs, kitchen staff, and service teams.

Basic experience in a professional kitchen or culinary training is beneficial.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions, and maintain attention to detail is preferred.

Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by cafe operations is advantageous.
