Assist in receiving and segregating used surgical instruments from Operation Theatres and other clinical departments.

Perform cleaning and decontamination of instruments according to standard operating procedures.

Assist in inspection, assembly, and packing of instrument sets.

Learn and operate sterilization equipment such as steam autoclaves and ETO sterilizers under supervision.

Label, store, and distribute sterile supplies to various departments.

Maintain proper documentation of sterilization records, biological and chemical indicators, and inventory.

Follow infection control practices, biomedical waste management guidelines, and PPE protocols.

Ensure cleanliness and organization of the CSSD work area.

Report damaged or malfunctioning instruments and equipment to the CSSD In-charge.

Participate in departmental orientation, training programmes, and quality improvement activities.

Comply with hospital policies, NABH standards, and safety regulations.
