Role Description The Director – Biotech Research will lead the planning, execution, and oversight of biotechnology research initiatives that support Esse India’s strategic goals. This full-time, in office role is based in Abroad and involves designing research frameworks, supervising R&D; projects, and ensuring scientific rigor in all studies. The Director will manage research teams, coordinate market and scientific analyses relevant to biotech and immigration-related domains, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for leadership.

Daily responsibilities include developing research proposals, monitoring project timelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, and preparing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. The role also requires cross-functional collaboration with operations, marketing, and client service teams to align research outcomes with business priorities.

Qualifications

Robust foundation in Research and Research Design,



with the ability to structure robust scientific studies and protocols.

Proven experience in Research and Development (R&D;), including leading biotech projects from concept to implementation.

Demonstrated Market Research and Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support evidence-based decision-making.

Advanced degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Bioengineering, or a related field (PhD or Master’s preferred).

Experience in managing multidisciplinary research teams and overseeing multiple concurrent projects.

Familiarity with regulatory standards, ethical guidelines, and documentation practices in biotech research.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing reports, publications, and stakeholder presentations.

Ability to work in office in Ludhiana and collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams.
