Role Description The Cyber Security Intern role at CycloSec is a full-time remote position focused on supporting the security operations and product teams. Day-to-day tasks may include assisting with monitoring security alerts, analyzing multi-source telemetry, and helping investigate potential threats and vulnerabilities across applications, networks, and systems.

The intern will contribute to documenting security findings, drafting incident reports, and supporting remediation activities under the guidance of experienced security professionals.

Responsibilities can also involve researching emerging threats, testing security controls,



and collaborating with engineering and product teams to strengthen the security posture of the platform.

Qualifications
Solid foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security concepts, including threat models, risk assessment, and security best practices.
Knowledge of Network Security, such as basic networking protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure network design.
Understanding of Application Security principles, including common vulnerabilities, secure coding practices, and use of security testing tools.
General awareness of the broader Cyber domain, including security frameworks, compliance standards, and incident response processes.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
Familiarity with Linux/Windows operating systems, command-line tools, and basic scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) is beneficial.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn new security tools and techniques quickly.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate in a remote, team-oriented workplace.
