Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Electrician to maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment in our API manufacturing plant. The role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted plant operations by performing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance while complying with GMP, EHS, and electrical safety standards. Industrial electricians in manufacturing settings are typically responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems to ensure protected and reliable plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant electrical equipment.
Maintain and troubleshoot motors, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs, PLC-based control systems, transformers, and switchgear.
Attend electrical breakdowns and restore equipment with minimum downtime.
Carry out installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control circuits.
Ensure proper functioning of DG sets, UPS, lighting systems, and utility equipment.
Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO),



electrical safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
Maintain maintenance records, logbooks, and equipment history.
Coordinate with Production, Utility, QA, and EHS teams during maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, statutory electrical regulations, and company safety policies.

Qualification
ITI Electrician (Mandatory)
Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage.

Experience
25 years of experience in an API, pharmaceutical, chemical, or process manufacturing plant.

Required Skills
Knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance.
Hands-on experience with MCC, PCC, motors, VFDs, PLCs, transformers, and switchgear.
Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control circuits.
Understanding of preventive maintenance practices.
Knowledge of GMP, EHS, electrical safety, and LOTO procedures.
Valuable problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience
Experience in API/Pharma manufacturing plants.
Exposure to utilities such as HVAC, Air Compressors, Boilers, Chillers, RO/DM systems, and ETP/STP.
Familiarity with SAP PM or any maintenance management system is preferred.
