Prepare 2D and 3D fabrication drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and shop drawings.
Review customer specifications, tender documents, and engineering drawings.
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and Material Take-Off (MTO).
Estimate material, labor, machining, welding, painting, and fabrication costs.
Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors for accurate project costing.
Prepare technical and commercial cost estimates for RFQs and tenders.
Coordinate with production, procurement, QC, and project execution teams.
Optimize designs to reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining quality and functionality.
Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, codes, and customer requirements.
Support production by resolving design-related issues during fabrication.
Maintain engineering documentation, revision control, and project records.
Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and project reviews when required.
