We are seeking skilled Structural Steel Detailers, Checkers, and Modelers with hands-on experience in Tekla Structures and/or SDS2. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of AISC standards and be capable of delivering accurate structural steel models, fabrication drawings, and connection details while meeting project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Create accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures or SDS2.
Prepare detailed fabrication and erection drawings.
Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
Interpret structural and architectural drawings.
Produce GA drawings, shop drawings, anchor bolt plans, and material reports.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve detailing issues.
Ensure all detailing work complies with AISC standards and client requirements.
Maintain project quality while adhering to delivery schedules.
Required Skills
1–6+ years of experience in structural steel detailing.
Proficiency in Tekla Structures and/or SDS2.
Strong knowledge of AISC standards.
Experience in structural steel detailing for commercial, industrial, or miscellaneous steel projects.
Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings.
Good understanding of fabrication and erection processes.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering.
Experience working on US structural steel projects.
Knowledge of connection detailing and checking procedures.
Familiarity with project coordination and quality control.
