Position Name : Manager - Locomotive Maintenance
Location : West Begal

Qualification : B.E / B. Tech Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial Engineering
Additional certifications in diesel locomotive maintenance, reliability engineering, or maintenance management will be an added advantage.

Experience : 8 + Years
Significant hands-on experience in maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and overhaul of diesel locomotive engines.
Experience in industrial locomotive operations, ports, steel plants, rail infrastructure, mining, or heavy engineering settings is preferred.
Robust understanding of diesel engine systems, transmission, braking systems, compressors, cooling systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, and auxiliary equipment.

Job Purpose:

The incumbent will be responsible to lead the maintenance, inspection, reliability, and operational readiness of locomotive engines deployed across West Bengal. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment availability,



adherence to safety and quality standards, and effective management of maintenance personnel.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Plan, supervise, and monitor preventive, predictive, breakdown, and overhauling maintenance activities of locomotive engines.
Ensure high equipment availability, reliability, and operational efficiency while minimizing downtime.
Conduct technical inspections, fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.
Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team of mechanics, electricians, technicians, and contract personnel.
Develop maintenance schedules, inspection checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, quality standards, statutory requirements, and customer operating procedures.
