Role & responsibilities

Plan and coordinate daily welding production activities to meet production schedules.

Prepare and monitor production plans, manpower allocation, and workflow.

Develop and optimize welding processes to improve productivity and reduce costs. Ensure welding operations comply with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and work instructions. Coordinate with fabrication, laser cutting, bending, machining, painting, and assembly departments.

Monitor production performance and resolve technical issues affecting output. Analyze welding defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure proper use and maintenance of welding machines, fixtures, and tools. Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and customer specifications before production.

Support new product introduction (NPI) and process validation. Monitor welding consumables, gases, and material availability. Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reduce rework, scrap, and cycle time through process optimization. Coordinate with the Quality department for inspections and customer requirements.





Ensure compliance with safety regulations and PPE requirements. Prepare daily production reports and monitor KPIs. Train and support welding supervisors and operators on process improvements. Assist in capacity planning and production scheduling.

Participate in root cause analysis for production and quality issues. Support ISO 9001 and other applicable quality management system requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Solid knowledge of welding processes such as MIG, TIG, Arc (SMAW), FCAW, and Spot Welding.

Ability to read engineering drawings, welding symbols, and GD&T.; Knowledge of WPS, PQR, and welder qualification requirements. Understanding of fabrication and sheet metal manufacturing processes.

Familiarity with welding inspection methods and quality standards. Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.

Positive communication and coordination skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and production reporting.

Leadership and project coordination abilities.
