The Mechanical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all mechanical maintenance activities in the frozen vegetables processing plant. The role is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of production equipment, refrigeration systems, utilities, and packaging machinery by leading the maintenance team, implementing preventive maintenance programmes, and minimising equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities *Perform regular inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities':-

Diagnose equipment failures and implement repairs, which may involve replacing parts or making adjustments.

Track and maintain spare parts and equipment required for maintenance activities.

Ensure maximum equipment availability with minimum production downtime.





Provide training and supervision to junior maintenance staff and technicians as needed.
Refrigeration equipment (supporting refrigeration technicians where applicable)

Ensure spare parts availability and maintain inventory records.

Maintain maintenance records, job cards, and equipment history.

Support installation, commissioning, and modification of recent equipment.
Provides Maintenance Department with all data and support for improving maintenance activities.

Candidate Profile:-

*Knowledge of food processing equipment and frozen production lines.

*Experience with rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, chains, and conveyors.

*Working knowledge of, fabrication, and alignment techniques.
