Role Description The Freight Broker role at Pianeta Solutions Pvt Ltd is a full-time, in office position based in Mohali.
The Freight
Broker will be responsible for matching shippers with carriers, negotiating rates, and securing capacity to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods. Daily tasks include managing load dispatch, monitoring shipment status, resolving issues in transit, and maintaining accurate documentation and records.
The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and carriers, providing responsive support, and identifying opportunities to optimize routes and reduce logistics costs.
The Freight Broker will collaborate closely with internal teams to align brokerage activities with overall logistics strategies and service standards. Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Freight Brokerage and Brokerage, including rate negotiation and carrier sourcing.
Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service and Account Management skills to maintain and grow client and carrier relationships.
Candidates should possess practical Dispatching skills to coordinate loads, manage schedules, and track shipments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a quick-paced logistics workplace.
Attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and proficiency with logistics or transportation management software.
Experience in freight, transportation, or logistics operations is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Mohali and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Relevant education in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is an advantage.
