We are looking for a Senior Java / J2EE Developer to join our engineering team. You will design and build enterprise-grade software components, reusable libraries, and APIs that power platforms and services across the organisation, with a strong focus on code quality, automation, and engineering best practices.
Key responsibilities
Design and develop reusable libraries and application programming interfaces for use across the organisation.
Design and develop software that supports greater automation of build, release, testing, and deployment processes across all environments.
Support the reuse and sharing of platform components and technologies within software engineering teams.
Deliver software components that enable the delivery of platforms, applications, and services.
Write unit and integration tests in automated test environments to ensure and maintain code quality.
Oversee the quality of work output, ensuring it consistently meets defined technical standards across all services.
Contribute to and champion best practices for application development and the software development lifecycle.
Write concise yet comprehensive technical documentation for developed systems and components.
What we're looking for
4+ years of hands-on experience in Java / J2EE development with strong object-oriented design fundamentals.
Solid proficiency in Spring Boot and Hibernate ORM for enterprise application development.
Solid experience with both relational and non-relational databases design, querying, and optimisation.
Hands-on experience with build and CI/CD tooling: Maven, Jenkins, TeamCity, and GitLab.
Comfortable working in Linux environments for development, deployment, and troubleshooting.
Experience with caching technologies including Coherence Cache and SOLR.
Working knowledge of JavaScript for integration and front-end interaction tasks.
Robust ability to write explicit technical documentation and communicate effectively across teams.
