Role Summary

As a Field Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, and technical support of RVM systems across various customer sites. The role combines hands-on fieldwork with technical troubleshooting (hardware + software) and requires robust communication to train and support B2B stakeholders. You will also contribute to process documentation, ticket resolution, and system feedback loops.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, and calibrate RVM hardware at client sites (indoor and outdoor environments).

Perform preventive maintenance and health checks as per SOPs.

Troubleshoot hardware issues (mechanical faults, sensors, boards) and software-level problems (OS, firmware, connectivity).

Conduct remote debugging via internal tools, SSH and perform minor firmware flashing as needed.

Interface with ticketing systems for timely closure and documentation of incidents.

Coordinate with internal teams (hardware, firmware, product) for escalations and feedback.





Train end-users and client stakeholders on machine usage and best practices.

Maintain logs of service visits, issues resolved, and root cause analysis.

Support client deployments occasionally during non-working hours, if needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

3+ years of experience in hardware/software support roles (preferably field-based).

Solid understanding of embedded hardware, Raspberry Pi, and electronics diagnostics.

Familiarity with Linux command-line, basic shell scripting, and remote access tools.

Experience with ticketing tools (e.g., Freshdesk, Zoho, Jira, etc.).

Basic programming or firmware handling (e.g., Python, Arduino, flashing tools) is a plus.

Ability to read electrical schematics and use multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.

Solid written and verbal communication in English; Hindi or regional languages a plus.
