Role & responsibilities
Responsible for planning, directing, and optimizing all logistics and distribution operations to ensure productive, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods.
Oversee transportation, warehousing, inventory control, distribution, fleet management (where applicable), and logistics service providers while driving operational excellence, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with business objectives.
Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics.
Oversee warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution centres.
Manage transportation planning, route optimization, and fleet operations.
Negotiate and manage contracts with transporters, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Monitor logistics KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Lead demand planning and coordinate with procurement, production, sales, and customer service teams.
Drive process improvements through Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.
Manage logistics budgets, cost control, and financial performance.




Oversee customs, import/export documentation, and regulatory compliance where applicable.
Implement and optimize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and ERP solutions.
Lead, mentor, and develop logistics and warehouse teams

Preferred candidate profile Ideal Candidate: -
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree (MBA/Supply Chain) preferred
1218 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management.
At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale logistics operations.
Experience across warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and distribution.
Should have hands on experience in managing fleets, and its optimal utilization.
Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, and data analytics tools.
Should have hands on experience in Strategic logistics and supply chain planning
Should have experience in inventory optimization.
Experience in Warehouse, Distribution, fleet management and equipment rentals.
Should be ready to work out of Coimbatore location.
