Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all hospital facility management and engineering operations.
Ensure uninterrupted functioning of all critical utilities, including electrical systems, HVAC, DG sets, UPS, water supply, medical gas pipeline systems, STP/ETP, fire protection systems, and elevators.
Develop, implement, and monitor preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
Ensure maximum uptime of hospital infrastructure and critical equipment through timely maintenance and repairs.
Plan, execute, and monitor civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and renovation projects.
Ensure compliance with NABH standards, fire safety regulations, statutory requirements, and other applicable healthcare regulations.
Prepare and manage the annual maintenance and utility budgets, ensuring cost optimization without compromising quality and safety.
Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts (CMC), and service providers, ensuring adherence to service-level agreements.
Monitor energy and utility consumption and implement energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
Lead emergency response for infrastructure failures and ensure 24×7 engineering support for critical hospital operations.
Conduct regular inspections, audits,



and risk assessments to maintain a protected and compliant hospital environment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, asset registers, statutory certifications, and compliance documentation.
Collaborate with clinical, biomedical, housekeeping, infection control, and administration teams to ensure seamless hospital operations.
Plan and supervise installation, commissioning, and handover of recent equipment and facility upgrades.
Manage inventory of engineering spares, consumables, and maintenance materials.
Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering and maintenance team, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety practices.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as equipment uptime, preventive maintenance compliance, utility efficiency, maintenance costs, and response times.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, patient safety, and service quality.

Experience
10–15 years of experience in engineering and facility management.
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within a hospital or healthcare environment.
Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals preferred.
Robust exposure to hospital utilities and infrastructure management.
