Role Summary

Lead the API R&D; function by driving process development, process optimisation, technology transfer, and current product development. Ensure commercially viable, scalable, safe, and regulatory-compliant manufacturing processes while supporting business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Lead development of new APIs from route scouting to commercialisation.
Optimise existing processes to improve yield, quality, productivity, and cost.
Drive successful scale-up and technology transfer to manufacturing.
Provide technical support for regulatory submissions (DMF, CEP, CTD) and customer queries.
Lead troubleshooting and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Build and mentor a high-performing R&D; team.
Collaborate with Production, QA, QC, Regulatory, Engineering, Procurement, and Business Development.




Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, and global regulatory requirements.
Drive innovation through current technologies, green chemistry, and process intensification.

Qualifications
Ph.D./M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry (preferred)
15–20 years of API R&D; experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role
Strong expertise in process development, scale-up, technology transfer, and regulatory support for regulated markets (USFDA, EU, WHO GMP)
