Role & responsibilities A blood bank incharge manages the overall daily operations, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance of a blood bank facility.
Operations Management: Oversee blood collection, donor screening, processing, component separation, testing, and protected storage.
Quality & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to national and international medical standards, blood safety protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Staff Supervision & Training: Manage, mentor, and evaluate blood bank technologists, nurses, and support personnel to maintain competency.
Inventory Control: Monitor blood supply levels, manage the distribution of blood products, and track expiration dates to prevent shortages or waste.
Safety & Audits:
Implement strict quality control measures, infection control protocols, and coordinate facility inspections or audits.
Inter-departmental Coordination: Liaise with hospital surgical teams, emergency departments, and external blood service agencies to fulfill transfusion needs
Preferred candidate profile
Must have relevant Experience as a Incharge Blood Bank Or Supervisor in Blood Bank.
Must have Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) Or Diploma in Lab Technician (DMLT) from Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty
