About the Role

We are seeking a Database Engineer with strong expertise in database design, optimization, and management. The ideal candidate will be skilled in architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance databases, ensuring data integrity, and supporting AI-driven applications. You will collaborate closely with our AI/Engineering teams to optimize storage, retrieval, and analytics pipelines, with additional opportunities to work on Azure Databricks for advanced data processing and analytics.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable database architectures (SQL & NoSQL).
Optimize database queries, indexing, and performance tuning .
Ensure data security, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery .
Build and maintain ETL pipelines to support AI/ML and analytics workflows.
Collaborate with AI engineers on vector databases and RAG pipelines .
Leverage Azure Databricks for data processing, integration, and pipeline optimization.
Integrate databases with APIs, CRMs, and external systems.
Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.

Required Skills & Experience
Strong proficiency with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, etc.).
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra,



DynamoDB, etc.).
Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, FAISS) is a plus.
Expertise in database optimization, indexing, and partitioning .
Solid understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and data modeling .
Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL, Azure SQL).
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks for big data analytics and ETL workflows.
Familiarity with backup, replication, and high availability strategies.
Solid Python/SQL scripting skills for automation.

Nice-to-Have
Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
Knowledge of streaming data systems (Kafka, Spark).
Hands-on experience with AI/ML data pipelines .
Exposure to DevOps for databases (Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD for DB).
Prior work with enterprise-scale databases handling high-volume data.
