Lead Fire and Safety Engineer Job Summary: The Fire Protection System Design Engineer will lead the design and implementation of fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of fire protection principles, engineering expertise, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities: System Design: Design fire sprinkler, deluge, suppression and alarm systems based on project specifications. Conduct hydraulic calculations and ensure optimal system performance. Select appropriate equipment and materials for fire protection systems.

Code Compliance: Stay current with local and national fire codes, regulations, and standards. Ensure all designs adhere to applicable safety and environmental guidelines.

Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate fire protection systems seamlessly into project designs. Participate in project meetings, providing technical input and support.

Documentation: Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation. Maintain accurate records of design changes, approvals, and project revisions.

Technical Analysis:



Conduct risk assessments and analyses to identify potential fire hazards. Perform system inspections and troubleshoot issues during the design and implementation phases.

Project Management: Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets related to fire protection system design. Communicate project status and updates to relevant stakeholders.

Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams and clients on fire protection system designs and functionalities. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team skill development.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field. 10-15years of experience in designing fire protection systems for various projects. Proficiency in relevant design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, REVIT, hydraulic calculation software).

Skills: Solid understanding of fire protection engineering principles. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
