Role Description

This is a full-time, in office Java Developer role based in Kolkata.

The Java

Developer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Java and the Spring Framework.

Responsibilities include writing clean and productive code, implementing microservices-based architectures, integrating APIs and external systems, and ensuring application performance, security, and scalability. The role involves collaborating with product managers, architects, and frontend engineers, participating in code reviews, and contributing to technical design discussions. The developer will also support testing, debugging, and deployment activities, and help continuously improve development practices and system reliability.

Qualifications
Strong Software Development skills with experience in designing, building, and maintaining production-grade applications.
Proficiency in Java and core Programming concepts, including object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.




Hands-on experience with the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security) for backend service development.
Knowledge of Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems design.
Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, SQL, and ORM tools.
Experience with build, version control, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Maven/Gradle, Git, Jenkins or similar).
Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
Ability to write clean, testable code and work with unit/integration testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit).
Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
