Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC and VMC machines as per production requirements.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

Select and install the correct tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters.

Perform machine setup, tool offset adjustments, and minor program modifications when required.

Monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and product quality.

Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial indicators.





Troubleshoot minor machine and tooling issues to minimize downtime.

Maintain production records, inspection reports, and machine logs.

Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.

Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Coordinate with the Production and Quality teams to achieve daily production targets.

Required Skills

Solid knowledge of CNC and VMC machine operations.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T.;

Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.

Knowledge of cutting tools, tooling selection, feeds, and speeds.

Basic understanding of CNC programming and editing is an added advantage.

Positive troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Machinist, Turner, or a related technical field.

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience as a CNC and/or VMC Machine Operator in a manufacturing industry.
