Overview

As a Junior QA Tester, you will be responsible for executing manual and automated test cases to ensure software quality across web applications. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and other QA team members to identify, document, and track defects, and ensure timely resolution. This role requires solid analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for quality assurance and automation.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with development and product teams to understand application features and testing requirements.
Develop and execute manual test cases in Xray.
Design, write, and execute automated test cases using Selenium WebDriver.
Develop reusable and maintainable test automation scripts for regression and smoke testing.
Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and reviews to stay aligned with Agile methodologies.
Identify, log, and track software defects using tools like Jira.
Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing for responsive web applications.
Participate in UAT cycles and support client-side validation and issue reproduction.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Skills




Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals, methodologies (Agile, Scrum), and STLC.
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation using Java or Python.
Experience with test management tools such as Xray is required. Familiarity with equivalent tools like TestRail or Zephyr is also acceptable.
Basic understanding of REST API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured is a plus.
Familiarity with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest is a plus.
Knowledge of build and CI/CD tools like Maven, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions is an advantage.
Experience using version control systems such as Git.

Desired Skills
Exposure to tools like JIRA, Confluence, or other issue tracking/collaboration tools.
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter is an added advantage.

Soft Skills
Excellent attention to detail with a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Positive verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document and explain issues clearly.
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently within a team workplace.
