About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the company. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the senior finance team with reporting and reconciliations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping
Record day-to-day financial transactions (purchases, sales, receipts, payments) in the accounting system (e.g., Tally/Zoho Books).
Maintain and update ledgers, journals, and general accounts.
Assist in preparation of vouchers, invoices, and payment entries.

Bank & Reconciliation
Perform daily/weekly bank reconciliations.
Reconcile vendor and customer accounts periodically.
Track and follow up on outstanding payments/receivables.

Compliance & Statutory
Assist in TDS, GST, and PF/ESI computations and filings.
Support preparation of documents for statutory audits, internal audits, and tax filings.
Ensure timely compliance with statutory due dates.

Payroll & Employee Payments
Assist in salary processing, reimbursements,



and full & final settlements.
Coordinate with HR for payroll-related data and beneficiary additions.

Reporting
Prepare periodic MIS reports, expense summaries, and petty cash statements.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Maintain accurate filing of financial documents (physical & digital).

Vendor & Petty Cash Management
Track petty cash expenses and maintain updated records.
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.

Coordination
Liaise with banks, auditors, and consultants as required.
Support senior accountants/management with ad-hoc financial data and analysis.

Required Skills
Solid knowledge of basic accounting principles (double-entry, ledgers, journals).
Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and payroll compliance.
Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
Familiarity with accounting software (Tally ERP/Zoho Books).
Positive communication and coordination skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
