Key Responsibilities & Technical Skills
As a Field LAN Engineer, your daily tasks will include attending active repair calls and managing site infrastructure
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing and fixing daily network disruptions, networking issues, and LAN wire issues across different branches.
Network Infrastructure Management: Carrying out neat Rack Dressing and Redressing, managing Patch Panels, and handling Fiber Panels.
Physical Connectivity: Performing high-precision I/O Punching, understanding Color Coding standards, and crimping/fixing RJ45 connectors.
Install and terminate Cat6 / Cat6A and fiber optic cables.
Set up and manage patch panels, network switches, and racks.
Route cables through walls, ceilings, conduits, and other structures.
Conduct cable testing, certification, and documentation.
Diagnose and repair LAN/Fiber connectivity issues.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
