Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced APR-DRG Medical Coder to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in APR-DRG coding , strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS , and the ability to accurately review inpatient medical records while ensuring compliance with US healthcare coding guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
Review inpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
Perform accurate APR-DRG assignment based on clinical documentation.
Ensure compliance with official coding guidelines, payer-specific regulations, and HIPAA standards.
Analyze physician documentation and raise coding queries whenever clarification is required.
Maintain high coding accuracy and productivity standards.
Work with QA and clinical documentation teams to resolve coding discrepancies.
Stay updated with coding guideline changes and industry best practices.




Meet client quality and turnaround time expectations while working independently in a remote environment.

Required Skills
Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in APR-DRG Medical Coding .
Robust knowledge of ICD-10-CM , ICD-10-PCS , APR-DRG methodology, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Experience with inpatient coding and DRG reimbursement.
Familiarity with encoder tools and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote setup and support US business hours.

Preferred Qualifications
Active coding certification such as CCS, CIC, RHIT, RHIA, or CPC .
Experience with US healthcare clients.
Strong understanding of coding compliance, documentation review, and quality standards.
