Role & responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations of the Engineering & Maintenance Department.
Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of all hospital equipment and infrastructure.
Ensure smooth functioning of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, DG sets, lifts, medical gas pipeline systems, STP, WTP, and other utility services.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
Coordinate with biomedical, housekeeping, nursing, and clinical departments for maintenance-related requirements.
Monitor Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts (CMCs) of utilities and equipment.
Ensure compliance with NABH, Fire Safety, Electrical Safety, Pollution Control, and other statutory regulations.
Supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and service vendors.
Prepare maintenance budgets and monitor departmental expenses.
Maintain inventory of engineering spares and ensure timely procurement.




Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify maintenance issues and implement corrective actions.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations and ensure minimum disruption to hospital operations.
Maintain documentation, maintenance logs, equipment history, and statutory records.
Drive energy conservation initiatives and optimize utility consumption.
Prepare monthly MIS reports and maintenance performance reports for management.

Preferred candidate profile
Robust knowledge of hospital engineering systems and facility management.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Positive understanding of preventive maintenance planning.
Knowledge of NABH standards and statutory compliance.
Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Vendor and contractor management experience.
Budgeting and cost control skills.
Effective communication and coordination abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management software.
