Role Description This is a full time, on-site role based in Tiruvallur for an Outsource/Purchase Officer/Job Work Engineer. The role involves managing purchasing processes, preparing and tracking purchase requisitions and purchase orders, and coordinating job work and outsourced manufacturing activities.

Responsibilities include identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, ensuring timely delivery of materials and components, and maintaining accurate procurement records.



The position also requires close collaboration with production, quality, and stores teams to align material availability with production plans and resolve supply-related issues.

Qualifications
Robust knowledge of purchasing processes, including purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
Experience with contract negotiation and vendor management to secure favorable terms and reliable supply.
Analytical skills to compare quotations, assess supplier performance, and optimize cost and lead time.
Familiarity with procurement in a manufacturing or engineering workplace, preferably electrical or industrial products.
Ability to work on-site, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple procurement tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and ERP or inventory management systems.
Diploma or degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.
