The Steel Checker is responsible for reviewing and verifying steel detailing drawings and 3D models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Check shop drawings and erection drawings.
Verify dimensions, connections, weld symbols, bolt details.
Ensure compliance with client standards and codes.
Review BOM and material take-offs.
Coordinate with detailers for corrections.
Approve drawings before client submission.
Modeller
Job Summary:
The Steel Modeler is responsible for creating accurate 3D models of structural steel components using modeller software as per approved design drawings and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop 3D steel models in SDS2 / similar software.
Model structural elements such as beams, columns, trusses, connections.
Coordinate with detailing and checking teams.
Maintain model accuracy and version control.
Generate reports and material take-offs from the model.
Ensure clash detection and coordination.
