Key Responsibilities:
Lead the mechanical design and development of DG set containers with a focus on robust engineering and cost-effectiveness.
Oversee and guide a team of at least 10 design and engineering professionals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, electrical, and quality to ensure seamless integration of design to manufacturing.
Drive the design and optimization of electrical control panels, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance.
Develop and implement assembly line processes and production tooling to enhance operational efficiency.
Create and maintain detailed project roadmaps, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
Apply structured root cause analysis methodologies to resolve design and production issues.
Ensure designs adhere to risk management protocols, especially within medical device standards if applicable.
Required Experience:
Proven experience working with DG set containers; candidates currently or previously associated with Kirloskar will be preferred.
Solid understanding of electrical control panel design and integration.
Hands-on experience in production process design, tooling, and assembly line optimization.
Demonstrated experience in project planning and execution with detailed roadmaps.
Proficiency in conducting structured root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram).
Technical & Leadership Skills (Hard Skills):
Electro-mechanical design expertise.
Proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent 3D CAD software).
Understanding of risk management design standards for medical devices is a plus.
Proven team management skills, handling a team of 10+ engineers/designers.
Robust organizational and project management capabilities.
