Position: Microbiologist - Executive

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Microbiologist to perform microbiological testing, maintain quality standards, ensure compliance with hygiene requirements, and support laboratory operations. The role involves microbial analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, water, and environmental samples.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and execute monthly microbiological testing schedules.
Perform microbial analysis of raw materials, finished goods, semi-finished goods, and process samples as per sampling plans.
Conduct water testing and maintain records of test results; escalate deviations when required.
Perform microbiological testing of RD samples as per requirements.
Conduct environmental monitoring activities, including:
Air monitoring
Surface/swab testing
Equipment swab testing
Personnel hygiene monitoring
Perform microbiological testing across multiple manufacturing locations as per approved procedures.
Maintain required stock of microbiology chemicals, media, and laboratory consumables; raise purchase requests as needed.




Perform daily calibration checks of microbiology equipment and maintain documentation.
Support new equipment/process trials with vendors and prepare related reports and data.
Conduct shelf-life studies of finished products and maintain records.
Provide training on personal hygiene, plant hygiene, and microbiological practices.
Carry out microbiology laboratory fumigation and maintain laboratory hygiene standards.

Candidate Profile
Bachelors/Masters degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field.
Experience in microbiological testing within a manufacturing or quality workplace preferred.
Knowledge of microbial analysis techniques, laboratory practices, and quality systems.
Valuable documentation and reporting skills.
Detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
