Company Description Indian Chemical Council (ICC) is the apex national body representing all branches of the chemical industry in India, including organic and inorganic chemicals, plastics, petrochemicals, petroleum refineries, dyestuffs, fertilizers, pesticides, specialty chemicals, and paints. Established in 1938, ICC has a long-standing legacy of supporting the growth and competitiveness of the Indian chemical sector. ICC works closely with government bodies, industry leaders, and international organizations to promote sustainable development, best practices, and policy advocacy for the chemical industry.
Role Description The Officer – Coordination is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role involves coordinating meetings, events, and industry programs, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with member organizations and stakeholders. The officer will prepare and maintain documentation such as reports, minutes, presentations, and correspondence, ensuring timely follow-up on action items.
Daily responsibilities include managing internal and external communications, supporting committees and working groups,
and maintaining accurate records and databases. The role also includes preparing representations to the government, industry representatives, and partners as needed, while supporting senior leadership in executing ICC’s initiatives and activities. Qualifications
Solid coordination and organizational skills, including experience managing schedules, events, and multiple stakeholder requirements.
Effective communication abilities, with clear written and verbal skills suitable for drafting emails, reports, and meeting minutes.
Proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software) and basic database or record management.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, management, or a related discipline; familiarity with the chemical or industrial sector is an advantage.
Prior experience in coordination, administration, or association/industry body roles will be considered beneficial.
